Hallie Liberto

I am an assistant professor of philosophy here at UConn. I joined the faculty in the fall of 2011 after completing my dissertation at the University of Wisconsin - Madison under the advisorship of Daniel Hausman. I work in moral and social philosophy. More specifically, I have been writing on these topics: promises, exploitation, sexual consent, and the nature and transfers of bodily rights.

I spent the 2014-2015 academic year at Princeton University as a Laurence S. Rockefeller Visiting Fellow. I wrote a series of articles on the topic of Promises. I will spend next spring (2017) as a Visiting Fellow at the Australian National University.

In between these trips, I am happily back home in Storrs, writing a book, and hiking in the beautiful Connecticut woods.
